Mirror World is warming up for Summer!

Hello everyone! I thought it was time I shared another update! So here’s what we’re up to here at Mirror World as we head into the summer months.

First of all, we are still accepting entries to our 2022 Anthology Contest. If you’re a writer of fantasy, science fiction, adventure, speculative fiction, romance… we want to hear from you! We’re looking for short stories and novella between 5000 words and 25,000 words on the theme of journey over destination. Does your story take place in space? Between realms? Are there portals or time travel involved? Is your hero on a quest? Check out our contest guidelines and send us your story before the end of the month. In addition to reading contest entries, we’ve been hard at work on getting Sex, Bugs & UFOs by Warren A. Shepherd ready for you. This science fiction adventure is coming to our store as well as to all major book retailers July 17th, 2022. We hope you’re as excited as we are and that you’ll join us for the cover reveal on June 24th. This summer we’re also getting back out there and we’ve got events books so you can come out and visit us. On June 18th, we’ll be at the Ambassador Legion on Marentette Ave from 9am to 2:30pm, then on July 2, and 3 we will be in Leamington for Art at the Marina. We’ll post more events as they are confirmed, but be prepared to run into us out in the real world this summer!

As you probably are aware, we open our general submissions in the fall. This year they will run between October 1st and November 30th, so if you’re an author waiting for your chance to submit, be prepared for that. But before that, we’ve got one more book to release this year; the much-anticipated Uncommon by yours truly, Justine Alley Dowsett. Set in the world of Ismera, Uncommon is its own unique fairy tale romance about a young clan chief who dares to send a love letter to a stranger. Keep your eyes open for this release coming to Mirror World and major book retailers, September 17th, 2022.
