A couple of weeks ago, we announced our upcoming contest. Writers, consider this your reminder to start writing or to polish that short story or novella you’re thinking of submitting to us. We start accepting entries May 15th and you have until June 30th to get those entries in to our fabulous judges: David McLain, Hedy Halpern, and Amber Marr.
You may already be familiar with David McLain as he is the author of The Time Traveller’s Resort and Museum and the children’s picture book, Tabitha Won’t Sleep. Hedy Halpern is a Mirror World Fan and a huge reader. And though you may not yet know Amber Marr, she’s long worked with us behind the scenes to set up book tours and cover reveals as the mastermind behind Sapphyria’s Book Promotions.
You can find the original announcement here with all the details, but in short we are looking for stories between 5000 and 25,000 words that have a focus on journeys, transitions, portals, travel through space or time, and quests. The usual guidelines apply for Mirror World books, which is a focus on world-building with a preference for character-driven stories of love and adventure. Target market is general audience.
