I’m terribly sorry for not posting yet this week! As you may remember, I was away for the month of February for a writer’s residency in New Orleans. Since I’ve been back, it’s been a flurry of activity trying to get caught up and back on track, with both The Gimmal Ring by Karen Koski coming out March 17th and then Beverlee Beaz, the Brown Burmese by Regan W.H. Macaulay following after that on April 17th.
And now, today, it’s my birthday, so instead of our usual programming, I’m going to interrupt and be little self-centered for the day, starting with letting you know that while in New Orleans, I finished the first draft of the still-unnamed next book set in the Ismeran world. Now that I’m back, I’m working on editing the last book in the Mirror World series, Mirror’s Despair.
So if you are waiting on either of these next books, you won’t have too long to wait. Mirror’s Despair should be out early next year and who knows, the Ismeran book may follow after it in the summer of 2020.
For now, you can get your fill of Murandy and I’s romance-ridden fantasy worlds through Unintended, Uncharted, or the Mirror World series which begins with Mirror’s Hope, and will soon end with Mirror’s Despair.
If romance isn’t your thing, I also have Neo Central, a stand alone futuristic science fiction for young adults or my Crimson Winter trilogy, which I hope to re-launch in the coming years. I’ve re-written the beginning and done a thorough edit on the rest, I’m just waiting on Robert to have some time to go over it one more time for me.
Well that’s it for my updates! I’d really appreciate it if you would pick up one of my books and give it a read in honour of my birthday. That would be awesome. Here’s my bio, incase you’ve missed it somehow:
Justine Alley Dowsett is the author of nine novels and counting, and one of the founders of Mirror World Publishing. Her books, which she often co-writes with her sister, Murandy Damodred, range from young adult science fiction to dark fantasy/romance. She earned a BA in Drama from the University of Windsor, honed her skills as an entrepreneur by tackling video game production, and now she dedicates her time to writing, publishing, and occasionally role-playing with her friends.
