I am so excited about this upcoming release! If you’ve read Unreachable Skies, Vol. 1, you’ll understand just why this second volume is so highly anticipated! Karen McCreedy is definitely telling a story in three parts, a proper trilogy, and her world is one of the most unique I’ve seen yet!
So if you haven’t picked up Unreachable Sies, Vol. 1, I urge you to do so now in preparation for the release of Exile, Unreachable Skies, Vol. 2, which is coming September 17th, 2019! Here’s the ebook and the paperback.
In Unreachable Skies we met Zarda, the newly appointed Fate-Seer to her people, the Drax, just as the ruler’s son is born without wings due to his mother being a survivor of a recent plague. This deformity is almost enough to send Dru to his death, but Zarda intervenes on his behalf and on the behalf of all the wingless who are being born to the current generation.
In Exile, Zarda and Dru’s story continues through the horrors of the Crimson Forest and to new discoveries as they try and find a way forward for the Drax population, winged and wingless alike, without sacrificing the culture and beliefs they have held dear for as long as any of them can remember.
Brought up in Staffordshire, England, Karen McCreedy now lives in West Sussex, having retired last year from the University of Chichester.
She has written articles on films and British history for a number of British magazines including ‘Yours’, ‘Classic Television’, and ‘Best of British’.
Karen has had a number of short stories published in various anthologies. She also won second prize in Writers’ News magazine’s ‘Comeuppance’ competition in 2014 with her short story ‘Hero’.
‘Unreachable Skies’ is her first novel
Congrats, Karen! All the best!
