Mirror’s Hope, a dark fantasy romance by myself, Justine Alley Dowsett and my co-author, Murandy Damodred is January’s featured book here at Mirror World Publishing. This means you get to hear all about it all month long and it’s been discounted in our online bookstore with the code: FEATURE. For now, here’s a few words from my co-conspirator, Murandy Damodred:

Mirror’s Hope is a special book for me and it was in the making for 6 years before we made it into an actual book. The story has many timelines woven through it, with plans for a 5 book series to go along with the first book, so keeping everything straight is what made putting Mirror’s Hope together such a long process. We have 2 books in the series currently available for purchase through our online store and national retailers. The first being, Mirror’s Hope and the second, Mirror’s Heart and these two books are both set in a world where being evil is the normal and being kind is considered taboo.

The next two books we have planned will be set in the opposite Mirror World where the world views are flipped. We will follow Mirena and Tendro’s Mirrors (their doubles) for two books of their own before bringing them all together in the fifth and final installment.

For those who have missed it, here is a description of Mirror’s Hope:

frontMW1copyEverything has a price…

In a self-serving dystopian society, Mirena’s kind-hearted nature leaves her socially outcast. Daunted by the task of trying to initiate change herself, she tries desperately to conform to the expectations of the cruel society around her.

That is, until she meets Tendro… General to the Panarch’s armies and a rising star in government, no one expects Tendro Seynor to be the prophesied Avatar of the Light, but that’s exactly what he’s become. Alone, MH2.jpghe doesn’t have the resolve necessary to follow the path destiny has set before him; but that all changes when meets Mirena and falls in love with her simple faith.

Brought together by fate, Mirena and Tendro must find a way to change their world for the better or risk the consequences of being on the wrong side of an all-powerful tyrant and his unforgiving Generals. Can they tip the balance of power in their world, or will the lengths they have to go get them in too deep to get back out again?

So, if you are looking for a great read, with the potential for more time with the characters that you love, this is a great book to start with. You can read it as a standalone as well, but if you want more there’s Mirror’s Heart and there will be more to come. You can get more information at www.mirrorworldpublishing.com, or purchase a copy at www.mirror-world-publishing.myshopify.com, or any major online retailers.

Cheers,

Murandy Damodred

With a background in Drama and Communications from the University of Windsor, Murandy Damodred enjoys fantasy fiction with strong romantic subplots. She is an avid role-player and is happiest when living vicariously through her characters. Though she’d rather think of herself as the heroine of her next novel, in the real world she is an expert in sales and management living in Windsor, Ontario.

  1. Wow, Murandy, you’ve been planning this 5 book series for 6 year? Kudos to you and Justine for your self-discipline and work ethic! Wishing you all the success you both can handle – which I hope is tons! Cheers!
