Happy Birthday to us! Revealing January 2016’s Featured Book

Today is not just the beginning of a new year, it’s also our birthday! Today Mirror World Publishing enters its third year in business!

As you know if you’ve read our farewell to 2015 post, we’ve got big things planned for this year. One of those things is to provide you with a featured book each month and we are pleased to announce that January 2016’s featured book is: Mirror’s Hope by myself, Justine Alley Dowsett, and Murandy Damodred.

This book is important to us in many ways. It’s the first book that Murandy and I co-wrote together, just the two of us. It’s the culmination of a story over a decade in the making. And, it’s the book we founded the company on. It was our first launch in early 2014 and you may have noticed that the company name Mirror World Publishing is inspired by the setting in Mirror’s Hope; a fantasy realm with two parallel worlds.

What being the Featured Book this month means is that Mirror’s Hope will be available at a discount in our store all month long with the discount code: FEATURE . Entering the code at checkout in our store will get you $3.00 off both the paperback and the ebook. This brings the cost of the ebook down to only $1.99!

It also means that we’ll have several blog more posts featuring Mirror’s Hope, the authors, the setting and the characters AND we’ll be hosting a giveaway all month long of a FREE SIGNED COPY!!! (Giveaway details coming soon, so subscribe to this blog or our mailing list, or keep up with our facebook page for that!)

For now, I’ll leave you with the blurb and the cover. If you haven’t checked this book out yet, please consider doing so. It’s a great read with great characters, an intricate plot and unique setting. And you don’t have to just take my  word for it, here’s a link to the reviews on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18779925-mirror-s-hope

Everything has a price…

In a self-serving dystopian society, Mirena’s kind-hearted nature leaves her socially outcast. Daunted by the task of trying to initiate change herself, she tries desperately to conform to the expectations of the cruel society around her.

That is, until she meets Tendro… General to the Panarch’s armies and a rising star in government, no one expects Tendro Seynor to be the prophesied Avatar of the Light, but that’s exactly what he’s become. Alone, he doesn’t have the resolve necessary to follow the path destiny has set before him; but that all changes when meets Mirena and falls in love with her simple faith.

Brought together by fate, Mirena and Tendro must find a way to change their world for the better or risk the consequences of being on the wrong side of an all-powerful tyrant and his unforgiving Generals. Can they tip the balance of power in their world, or will the lengths they have to go get them in too deep to get back out again?

From obtaining a BA in Drama at the University of Windsor to becoming an entrepreneur in video game production and later, publishing, Justine Alley Dowsett’s unswerving ambition has always led her to pursue her dreams. Today she lives in Windsor, Ontario and is still writing and publishing fiction novels. With a background in Drama and Communications from the University of Windsor, Murandy Damodred enjoys fantasy fiction with strong romantic subplots. She is an avid role-player and is happiest when living vicariously through her characters. Though she’d rather think of herself as the heroine of her next novel, in the real world she is an expert in sales and management living in Windsor, Ontario.
